Mr. Peterkin is a commercial litigator who works primarily in the areas of construction law, real estate law and business law. He also specializes in commercial lease disputes, construction defect litigation and Homeowner Association law. Mr. Peterkin has 30 years of experience as a lawyer. For over 20 years, he has been an active member of the Central Oregon Builders Association and is the Association’s past President for 2001. Mr. Peterkin is a frequent speaker and participated in lectures to attorneys, contractors, engineers, surveyors and brokers. He has written legal articles in his primary practice areas.
Mr. Peterkin sees law as it is and as it should be. This has allowed him to create new law in such areas as real estate, mortgage brokering, and evidence. His cases have been featured in the Wall Street Journal and the Oregonian. Mr. Peterkin is a member of the Construction and Real Estate Law Section of the Oregon State Bar, and a former member of the board of directors for the Construction Law Section. Mr. Peterkin is a graduate of Willamette University College of Law in 1982 and a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy in 1988.
