 | Megan Burgess, Bend Oregon Lawyer
Armed with the Oregon Scholar Award, a B.A. in Political Science from Linfield College, and a juris doctor degree from the Willamette University College of Law in Salem, Ms. Burgess had a bright future working for a Portland law firm. But not bright enough for this lawyer.
When the opportunity came to abandon the gloomy gray skies of the Rose City and practice law amidst the bright, warm sunshine of Bend, she jumped at the chance.
Ms. Burgess joined Peterkin & Associates as an Associate Attorney in February of 2008, specializing in commercial and real estate litigation. Megan works closely with our construction contractor/material supplier clients assisting them in protecting their lien rights.
Ms. Burgess has been advising homeowners and real estate agents in all aspects of the Central Oregon real estate market including foreclosures, short sales, deeds in lieu of foreclosure and the complex laws governing those topics.
A former United States Senate Page at the Capitol in Washington D.C, Megan is a member of several professional and personal associations. But most days, she’d rather associate with her husband, daughter and two black labs at a nearby mountain lake.
